I have a 57 F100 that the 272 gave up on me. I have access to a 95 F150 that has everything there but it is a 5 spd 4X4. The price is right to buy it but I am uncertain of the process needed to convert the 4X4 to 2X4 for my 57. Anyone have any knowledge of what it would take? I would like to keep it a standard just out of nostalgia and I am not finding any other local deals on a motor and tranny combo. My 57 is no show queen it is a truck that is used as a truck should be, and that is why I am leaning toward the F150 because I know it was a towing truck prior to the frame getting bent.

If I left out details or did not mention something let me know. Oh and I will convert it over to Carb because I don't want to jack with the EFI and wiring. Just a pain in the tail.
