I knew someone was going to say that. I love the 4.0 inline six that's in it now, but I want some more power, especially when I put 33's on it. Now, I could go the stroker route and build a 4.5, 4.6, or 4.7, but as is it only gets about 13.6 mpg. I love the idea of a powerhouse I6 what with the massive torque and all, but it would probably get about 10mpg on a good day. Back when I wanted to build a Foxbody Mustang (read: before I fell in love with my Cherokee) I was seeing that guys with 300 horse 5.0L's were getting high teens in the city and mid to high twenties on the highway.
I was thinking I could put in a SBF and get more power, fuel efficientcy (above 15 city would be good) and it would be lighter if I chose the 302. Also, I want v8 sound.
