I wouldn't go any higher then 4.30s.
I run 4.10s in my truck with a 23" wheel. Its just fine.
I had to move up to a 30" tire from a 28" tire just to keep off the rev-limiter at the end of the 1/4 mile...LOL And my limiter is set for somewhere in between 58 and 6200RPMs.
