Thanks. Was just wondering how long it might have stayed in service. In February, 1958, a 53-56 Ford school bus (I never could find out exactly what year), went into the Big Sandy River in the next county over from me (Floyd Co.). A BUNCH of kids were on the bus. Twenty-six and the driver didn't get out. The story was that the bus slowly swerved to miss a tow truck pulling another truck out of the ditch and went straight into the water. Others said that the truck had a steering issue and didn't correct like it should have. Nevertheless, when they pulled the bus out of the water, they took it straight back to the county garage and cut it up the same day. So nobody will ever know.
