I think the preference between twist-in or non strictly depends on your driving style. If off-roading, driving over a lot of rough roads or potholes, then don't go with the twist-ins. If it's a daily driver around town, don't worry about, you won't have the side to side or compression/release movement of the spring to loosen them.
