Oil leak through valve cover harness? Update w/pics!

Is it possible to leak oil through the connection on the valve cover gasket?

I have an oil leak that is leaking down the side towards the back of the driver's side head. It is not the HPOP, or the rail plugs, but the top of the head has oil in that little groove between the head and the VC and it seems to be coming out of the front electrical connection. Is that possible? :-banghead

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply, I forgot to say that I just checked the VC, they are tight. And yes, there is oil in the connection.

Well, I got the VC gasket, harness, and pigtails inthe kit from Napa-$64.50 out the door.

I tore into my truck last night and found one badly burnt pin an another that was burnt a little. So I replaced the VC, both under the cover harnesses, and one pigtail. It runs and starts much better now! :-X22

Here are a couple pics of the burnt pins. I'll try to post a pic of the new one in the truck when I get a chance.

I'm currently digging into my 95 7.3L and found oil on all 4 connectors.
Also, a few of the injector connectors were wet past the seal.

And then... One of the harness connector clips broke off when I was doing the .50 mod.

Bad day!

What negative effects will having oil soaked connectors cause?
