dirty oil ?
 

I am having trouble with my HPOP and the ICP has oil in it. I was told that both need to be replaced. The question I have is that a dealership tech told me that my problem may just be from dirty oil. I normally change my oil at 5000-7000 miles, I was wondering how many miles and how dirty can the oil get so that it will make the truck not run ?

Dirty oil can cause problems, what are your symptoms? Changing it is easy and certainly won't hurt to do it early. At least you'll know if it's your problem.
Oil in the ICP = New ICP unless you spilled it in there.
The HPOP is the last thing to check/replace until you get the other items out of the way.

Dirty oil can definately make it run badly. Or if you use certain oil additives it can make it foam up and not run right.
