'05 F150 5.4 DTC P2004 won't go away

Nice forum you have here. With lots of info but i haven't seen an answer to my problem with all of my searching efforts so i am forced to ask for some help. :o

I've got an '05 F150 with the 5.4 and a P2004 code that won't go away. I have taken the intake off and cleaned all the runners and plates, and made sure they are moving properly. Both rods are connected and the bushings are fine but the code still comes back. The part that makes the least sense is there is no possible way for one side to stick open and not the other unless the rod falls off when it is in the open position, which isn't the case.
The only thing I can think of that makes any sense is the motor tells the PCM when it has them open or closed and it thinks the right side is stuck open. Does anybody know if the control motor has sensors inside it that sense when they are open or closed? The intake itself doesn't have any switches in it or on it to sense their operation or position.

All ideas are welcome since I am at a total loss on this and the dealer won't talk to me about it with out being paid for it.

Thanks

your problem is the imcr controller remove the intake and replace the controller the parts $60 at the dealer FOLLOW the directions to the T if you don't damage to the new controller will result..

You can watch the operation of the controller with a mirror have someone in the truck snap the thottle over 3k rpms and you watch the rods they should rotate clockwise and return to closed postion..
