Without getting into a political discussion, I'll just say that it seems to me that someone in the administration would realize that it's not a very good PR move for the President to not be at Arlington today. I don't know what could be more important, really.

Right, and since I don't believe they are stupid, they must believe they are appeasing their far-far-far left support base. It might be the only support remaining.

I just read an article that he is at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery south of Chicago!

Not condoning the absence at Arlington, but at least he went to a veterans memorial service!

That's good, although my suspicious side thinks they added that to his itenerary as a result of all the criticism. I guess I have to give the benefit of the doubt.
