You should have hung onto the 1st one!
My dad married in '75, She, Filed for Divorce in '79, Wasn't finalized until '80.
My mom married in '80 or '81 and he divorced her in '90.
(My Parents were not married, Thank God)

The first one was lacking in dinero. She turned out to be a money grubbing little vixen...wanted all of mine...which she tried very hard to get. She wasn't successful.

The 2nd is a miser...wouldn't pay a nickel to watch an ant eat a bale of hay!

The 2nd is a multi-degreed engineer, makes almost as much dinero in a year than I ever made in three, believe it...or not.

When I retired, I was making 80 grand + a year, believe it...or not.

What The Hell does she do...?

"She, who must be obeyed" is a genius w/a 200+ I.Q. She's a scientist and a P.E. Has almost as many degrees as a thermometer, believe it...or not.

Good for her...!
I hope I can go to College, What I plan to get a Degree in, I haven't a clue...
Maybe in Computers, or History, or somethin' along those lines.

You'll make far more dinero with a degree in Computer Science.

A degree in History won't generate much dinero.

With a History degree, you could become a teacher, but teachers (sadly) are vastly underpaid.

Damn! The '010 Mustang GT500 cranks out 540HP at 6,000RPM, Makes me want a '65-'68 GT350-GT500...:D
Remember the Hertz "Rent a Racer" Program in the '60s...?
Shelby Cranked out I believe 500 '65-'66 Raven Black with Gold Stripes for Hertz, Them damn things were a hit! Kid's used to rent 'em on Friday jerk the FE out of 'em and stick in somethin' else, the kid's behind the counter didn't know the difference.

Kid's at the Hertz counter, I could believe, this kid at the Ford parts counter (and prolly lots of others), knew the difference.

The Hertz GT-350-H's were all 1966's, none had an FE engine. According to Ford, 938 were assembled. GT-500's, first introduced in 1967...are another matter.

All GT-350's came with the same 289 hipo engine (K VIN engine code) that was available in 1965/68 GT-350's, and at an additional cost in 1965/68 Mustangs, 1963/68 Fairlanes, 1965 Falcon's, 1964/68 Comets.

Passenger Cars that had came w/the 289 hipo are well known today as K-Cars.

Ppl used to rent them, then take them to a drag strip...tore the hell oughtta them.

Some ppl removed the HiPo engines, substituting plain old 289's instead.

The 9" rear axle was another prize. Ppl used to R&R the rear axles, substituting the 8" found in plain jane V8 Mustangs.

It's tough for the untrained eye to tell a 9 inch from an 8 inch.

People, unclear on the concept, and with an untraiined eye, used to buy 8" rear axles, then try to install the center section in a 9 inch, cuz they didn't know the difference.

Believe it...or not!

Remember kiddo, I was Ford partsman before Shelby had anything to do with converting Mustang's to GT-350's....so you ain't tellin' me anything I didn't already know.

His "factory" was an old airplane hanger on Imperial Hwy just south of LAX. I used to hang out there on weekends, as a pal of mine's mom was a pal with 'ol Shel.

In fact, I got to drive the first 427 Cobra that came with a Cruise-O-Matic. Only a coupla these were made. Shel had a bum leg, so he had one, Bill Cosby had another.

Yes and did you know that Shelby made FIVE Factory Dragsters...
The GT500s came with the 428, or The 428 SCJ (Super Cobra Jet)
