Had to get some new tires for my truck!!! :-arrgh

Was running 37x12.5x15 SSR Super Swampers and bought 4 new 36x12.5x15 TSL Radials Super Swampers which are only .6 of an inch lower in actual diameter, but about 1.5 inches more narrow, with the tread being a whole lot less noisy on the road.

Two of the ones I have on there now had bubbles on the inner walls; two very large ones on one side and three small ones on the other. I've been asking around FTE forums about them and I've been told that these usually result from hitting potholes, curbs, or other rough activity. The only activity my truck gets is about 30 miles a week on a few trips 2-3 days a week around town and about 100 miles round trip on my last trip to the car show. Other than that, they said it may be a defective tire. So, I can't go back to original dealer they were bought from because it was bought by the previous owner 3600 miles away from me and a while ago. I am going to contact the manufacturer because these tires only had about 7000 miles on them.

Anyways, I found a brand new set of Super Swampers sold locally and drove 2 hours to pick them up this past Friday. I got a good deal on them. I saved about 50% off what I would have had to pay online plus shipping. No local dealers could get those in for some reason. Going tomorrow to have them mounted; another $180 bucks to do that, ouch!

Then, I'll list my two good ones on Craigslist and with a local swap and sell it guide and maybe sell the two bad ones if someone wants to run with them till they blow. I may keep them for an emergency spare.

Today, I Replaced the AC compressor on my 79 supercab.....It seems that 32 years have taken their toll on the face seal on the old one. But, alas 38 degrees out of the vents once again.:-X04

last saturday I bought another one! a running driving 77 highboy with no bed for 200 bucks. Got a call on monday from another guy that went to pick it up and it wasnt there. He wondered what was up and where it went, so im glad i grabbed it when i did! Today i painted part of my frame and rear suspension and radiator support on my mud truck so its pretty for the parade tomorrow before the mud bog. I still need to go put my sponser stickers on it.

Valve cover gaskets, oil change, hooked up aftermarket oil pressure gauge. A few things in a long, long list.

Just installed my old school Linear Power X-02 crossover so my door speakers don't blow when blasting. LOL So now I have Sony head unit Linear power crossover splitting between a 4 Channel Sony Amp and a Bridged PPI amp. 6 1/2's and tweeters in the doors and an Alpine Type S 10. I want to swap out the Alpine 10 for a shallow mount Kicker 12.
