How much does it weigh?

Rough estimate...

Probably around 6500 lbs

Talyn 01-15-2010 08:31 AM

well, he's got a crew.

i got a single cab 4x4 5speed and mine weighs in at 6550.

Red97350 01-15-2010 08:35 AM

I was going to guess around 7200, but that might be a little high.

i'ma guess for him it will be close to 6700 with out 4x4 stuff.

I know a t-case can weigh a good 150 lbs and the front axle is heavy too.

My supercab 4x4 with me in it and both fuel tank full, ridiculously homemade gooseneck ball in the bed welded to a few hundred pounds slab of iron, but otherwise empty weighed at a State of California approved scale when I registered it from out of state now has the official weight of 6480 lbs.

The unofficial dump scale after a weigh back, truck empty but for me and my wife and 1 tank full said we were 6900 lbs.

Talyn 01-15-2010 08:56 AM

yea. I got a gooseneck hitch like that also. Mines all 3/8's plate steel.

My 96 crew 4x4 with one tank full and me in it 7200lbs. Guessing a 2wd pretty close to 6800. While on the topic of weight, how much does a long block powerstroke weigh?

According to the page I am looking at, a 1995 crew cab f350, 2wd xl, auto, gasser has a dry weight of 5185 lbs. Add another 350 lbs for the diesel and that gets it up to 5535. 40 gallons of fuel is another 400 lbs, so up to 5935. Add your fluids and you are at about 6000. Then add on any other goodies you have (cab steps, tool boxes, etc). I would guess somewhere in the mid 6's.

Mine is 6700. I can't see how they could be that different. I have an automatic so that could be a hundred there. And my hitch is honkin huge and weighs in at 150 lbs. (I have a 42" extension for towing behind my slide in camper). I wonder what else is different?

95_Dually 01-15-2010 09:02 PM

I was surprised that mine was that light too. I always thought it would tip the scales at 7,000 lbs +.

I have the aluminum wheels, and both tanks were almost empty. I also had everything cleaned out of the truck. It was just the truck with zero add-on's in the truck.

helifixer 01-15-2010 10:11 PM

mine is 6800 + or - 50 every time I go over the scales to get feed (certified scales)
