Tuning in for pics. I have a HD as well with factory 34 tall tires. Mine is a 350 so I already did the 2 in leveling kit and the 34's look small. So small that I dont think the 35's will be enough to look right. Lets see those 37's.
What is the recommended pressure on the tires themselves? |
09250hd, do you have a rear sway bar on your truck? I ordered my truck and had to order the sway bar as part of a package. I cant remember what else it came with but regardless, the point is that the rear sway bar was not standard equipment.

I took the Ford one off and put a heavier duty one on. The stock one was kind of a joke.

It is pretty wimpy but still better than nothing at all if thats what the OP has going on. Just a guess.
Jasfaa, could you feel the difference between them? |
ill try to get some pics up tom cant figure out how to yet got any ideas or just copy and paste

you can create a photobucket account. Then click 'go advanced' just under the reply section. There is an icon for inserting a picture there. You will need to copy and paste the URL of your photo there. i.e. go to photobucket, select your pic, copy the url, come back to FTE and post.
You can also add pics to your FTE profile and do the same thing. Go to your picture on FTE (like your avatar pic) click on properties, copy paste in your reply There might be other ways but I use either of these myself |
I just changed my stock 275/70/18's out today for 285/75's. Went with the Toyo All Terrain....I think they look good. Had a 2" leveling kit put on the front as well. Still lots of room. Truck looks pretty mean now...Is it worth seeing if the dealer can re-calibrate speedometer to new tire size? I assume they could do this? From the 6.0 forum tech folder, look to be running 3.5mph faster at 70 MPH (actual 73.5) and the odometer will be off as well. Have to run the GPS and see. Probably not a big deal if I remember....:-X04

I'm running 305/50/20 on my stock wheels, the tires are General Grabber AT2's. They don't seem to work very well on snowy roads. I think because they are so wide. BUT... they LOOK cool and I think they will do well for off-roading.

I have 37" toyo all terrains on my 08 with a 4.5 inch lift. I run about 45 psi in them with the tpms warning on all the time. Anybody have a fix for this yet? I would like to retain the tpms but would like it to read lower pressures. Anyone hear of different wheel sensors available, or in the process of being manufactured?

FWIW -- the rear swaybar comes standard on Camper Package equipped trucks.
|
I have the camper package. The stock sway bar is the width of my pinky finger. it was worthless with real weight.
