Confirmed. Ours is a 2007 Expedition EL Limited. Just pull off the passenger side kick panel to get to the SJB, and I pulled out one bolt holding it to the side wall. Like I said, 5 digits right in the middle of a label with barcodes above and below. It should only take about 5 minutes start to finish.

HTH!

thanks alot guys all it took was 1 screw

Worked on my 07, I had to remove the kick panel and my code was on the back of the black box (just had to remove one bolt to remove the box). Always consult with FTE friends before getting ripped off at the dealership!

I love this forum! Code was exactly where Viper pointed out on my wife's 2010 Expedition.

Thanks.

Nice info really.

GREAT INFO

We bought an '07 Limited a week ago with no manuals. That wasn't a big deal because you can get them online but the keycode card is always in the manual so that was a big deal because we use the keyless entry all the time. It beats carrying keys around. The dealer is 40 miles away so it's inconvenient for me to take it there to get the key code but the I found this "gem" of a thread. How easy. Took me 15 minutes and if I had to do it again, I could do it in five. These DYI forums are the best and save me so much time and $$$$$$.
Thanks guys, Jason

It sure is. I've gotten a lot of useful info/tips/help too!

Great bunch of people here!

For the second time in as many days, this forum has helped.
I had read elsewhere too that the code was not labeled in the vehicle and had planned to bring the truck to the dealer on Saturday

Then I read this thread and in 5 minutes I had my code.

Awesome!!

Bought an '08 Expedition last year. The "factory" code on the card in my manual never worked. Now I know why. It wasn't the factory code! Either the previous owner or dealer I bought it from put in the wrong card! Thanks guys!
