Acceleration jumping??

Friend of mine has the Harley Davidson F-250 but for some reason they could be going in traffic and the trucks acceleration just jumps. They have to be riding on the brakes at all time or they could smack into somone.

Any idea what caused this?
And how the hell can this be fixed.

I dont wanna hear my buddy got killed in traffic.
Thanks

A sticky EGR valve could cause a irratic idle and possibly cause to truck to jump forward.

A little trick is to let the truck idle as see if you can get it to surge. If it does tap (don't smash) the EGR valve lightly with a hammer to see if it unsticks.

We have them online if you end up needing one.
