Ok, after reading all these posts and checking my code(P0122), I went out and unbolted the assembly. The only problem I have is, how in the world do you pull the plug off of the assembly to clean the contacts? Just buy a new pedal and be done with it :) There is 2 plugs on mine and you just push the release on the clip and pull it off. Just like any other plug or clip. Then spray some contact cleaner on each end and plug them back in. FYI....i had tps issues and lack acceleration and dead pedal...and just did the new pedal and let me tell you, it is NIGHT AND DAY. Truck has alot more throttle response now and no more deal pedal. I have been needing one for a while it seems. Good luck. |

Why is everyone jumping to conclusions. One if its been sitting for 24 days and its cold outside, I would atleast let the truck idle for 10 minutes. My 7.3 did this all the time when it was cold, after about 2 minutes of idling I would have a pedal again.

Sorry to bring this thread back up but I'm now having the problem as described by the op. I have a 2002 though so my question is how do you tell which tps you have? Any pics or part numbers?
