Opinions needed

Ok as a lot of you know I've been working on a graphic design for the side of my truck and I want your opinion on what I came up with. Please be honest and tell me what ya think..... here it is.

Stv1968 11-02-2008 10:04 PM

I think that is cool looking!

DAFBFD58 11-03-2008 06:59 AM

Nah doesn't fit IMO. Too much going on in one stripe. From bends to checkers to flames. K.I.S.S. You should know that means!

SCRWDRVR 11-03-2008 09:25 AM

Thanks guys so far I'm really not sure on it. Ryan I dont know what K.I.S.S. is

Surge08 11-03-2008 09:44 AM

K: Keep, I: It, S: Simple, S: Stupid.

just from what I know.

savage2211 11-03-2008 11:07 AM

1st I am no expert, so I probably don't know what I am talking about.

It looks good Brian,But is there any way to make changes to it to make it your own design? Like maybe like make it come down off the hood,Or look like it is coming from the front fender well.

Like i said ,I don't know everything about this stuff. Just make it your design, not a generic set of graphics.

Just my 2 cents.

BigBlueMacDaddy 11-03-2008 12:16 PM

No expert here, but, for my taste, I would prefer it to be longer, more an element of the design, less involved and less of a focus. I think that you are really onto something, Brian, sometimes less is more.... One hundred people polled, and one hundred and one different opinions! Just make it yours alone.......

Surge08 11-03-2008 12:37 PM

I think it would look good with it coming from the wheel well

SCRWDRVR 11-03-2008 01:14 PM

Thanks for the input guys keep it coming, and Barry this is my own design in a way, I basically combined several different graphics to make one.....

glruff 11-03-2008 01:20 PM

The design on the door forward looks like what I just saw on a blazer.

Like the rest have stated, less would look better IMO. Then again I like your truck the way it is without anything. Always have, always will.:)

Are you going to use black?

SCRWDRVR 11-03-2008 03:29 PM

I tryed several different ways to do the front, up on the hood I thought was to much with the flames on it. Out of the wheel well made so I had to go to low on the body I thought so I needed somewhere to start it at and if I went over the whole fender it made the need for more on the bed. Thanks for the input all

George I like it the way it is to but I'm wanting to spice it up some so to speak and as for the color I'm thinking like a burgandy color but I'm not possitive on that yet.

dawgs150 11-03-2008 06:37 PM

brian i will call u and we can chat... its been a while

phil6608 11-04-2008 03:05 AM

I like it!
It starts with a burnout into a checkered flag, then a flame out...cool!

And keep in mind,,,it will look better without the white baking on it.So it will look smaller when installed.

Up to you Brian,,,truck looks good with or without.

Oh,,and I like the flames on the tail lights.

SCRWDRVR 11-04-2008 05:03 AM

Thanks Phil, never relized the start looked like a burn out.

SCRWDRVR 11-04-2008 11:46 AM

Ok I did some changing and have 2 options a little different than before

What do ya's think?

F150COASTIE 11-04-2008 01:04 PM

i like the top design better in your last post, but i would go black instead of grey it would fit better, but at the end of the day you drive it not anyone else

Stv1968 11-04-2008 03:55 PM

I agree with coastie, the top one looks best.

savage2211 11-04-2008 04:57 PM

The top one is more like it Brian!!!! You are getting the hang of that thing ain't ya......

SCRWDRVR 11-04-2008 05:52 PM

I'm getting better all the time Barry..... I'm not sure which one I like better thought. Thanks for the input guys..

Pony Hauler 11-04-2008 06:19 PM

I like the bottom one. If you go with the top one, try to lower it a little, so you are not going over the handle. That would be a PIA to apply.

SCRWDRVR 11-04-2008 06:40 PM

Thanks Kevin and I would definetly move it a bit to keep it off the handle.

DAFBFD58 11-05-2008 09:31 AM

Still not digging it. I say wait till you use paint and then do the flames.

BigBlueMacDaddy 11-07-2008 09:26 PM

I prefer the first longer one! Is is possible to fade it color-wise from dark(front fender) to lighter? Can you do a computer simulation to save you some work? Like George R. says, that's a nice looking truck...............even with nothin'!

glruff 11-07-2008 10:37 PM

Hey Brian, have you considered more of a lightning bolt style?

I dont have the stuff to do a fade however I've been thinking about making the graphic in peices so I could use multiple colors and what I'm doing is the best I can do without major work for a computor simulation. Thanks George

I was wanting to stay with the flames since I have them on my dash.

glruff 11-08-2008 07:39 AM

That makes sense Brian.

Here is a site that shows some design ideas and acutally has sample pics on trucks. http://www.customautotrim.com/graphics/truck/
