Look into a product called "the right stuff". It's a gasket maker that I highly recommend for band-aid repairs, if nothing else to buy you some time to really get it fixed. I patched a blown out oil pan gasket with this stuff about a year ago on my 95, and it is still doing it's job to this day.

got myself a new girlfriend.she's a "read head".
they claim to be good steering boxes.we'll see i guess 200k from now hopefully.
the steering slop is gone.now to see if it remains nice and tight for a mile or two unlike the stock units.they've got the rep for doing so,so not too worried.:-X22

Good luck with the "read head". You always want to make sure they stay nice and tight :-missingt

I did a pan gasket repair (behind the motor mount right side) on my 90 5.8 on 12/25/09 and you guessed it... still there and dry ... just clean it real good and I let it sit overnight ... DONE !!!!

It's good stuff Gigman. Oddly enough, my repair was in the exact same place as mongo's

And I found out the Fuel Pump is an Airtex...

I'll recommend them....Seems to be working fine....

Installed 824 front coils. Makes her sit up but still lower than the rear. Will take in for an alignment in the next couple days. Give her a chance to settle down. Washed her and she looks gooood.

Took Michelle for a test drive...

Compared to the drive home last night, I'd safely put the difference at about 5% +/-.....Just a small bump in response....Nothing that would impact MPG, or 50hp...

But she just seems to drive/Idle a bit smoother....

Like I said...Only reason I can safely say I notice a difference, is because I drive her 5-7 days per week....

Now I just hope I have the sealing issue solved and have no more leakage on the front tank....:-X16

Phase 1 done !!!

Put the final touches on the E-fan install today. Put the grill back in with a few modifications ... nut-certs in place of nuts and bolts with rubber spacers (could use a little more spacer) and added zip-ties as needed, and checked all connections A-OK :-X22 Next go to Sears and pick up my new roll-a-way so I can find my tools :-X06 Next week picking up a 48" wide, 18" deep, 4 drawer high filing cabinet for all my boxed stuff and power tools... to be organized again :-jammin :-wink Dave :-X06
