Same here on the fuel filter. I took me and a buddy several hours of: "Ok, I'll twist this while you push here and gently tap it in the other direction" type nonsense interspersed with checking several manuals and the internet because we figured we had to be doing something wrong but couldn't figure out what.

Got my new infinity door speakers in the mail today. Installed them this afternoon, sounding pretty good!

Fuel filter only took me about a half hour or so to remove and replace. Was kinda a PITA but I don't see how it could take hours, like it does for most people lol.

Replaced the rear driveshaft rear u-joint because I discovered there were two cups with no needle bearings. Just a little loose! Ordered a new carrier bearing, and the other two u-joints so I can rebuild the entire shaft.

While doing this, I noticed that the PO used u-bolts that were a tad too short when replacing the springs. Also noticed that when he did the rear rubber brake line, he didn't re-install the vent/hold down bolt. Ordered that stuff too.

Today I replaced the fuel filter, PCV valve, and also picked up a replacement front tank (my old one was removed due to rot.)

Ricky welcome to FTE & keep up the good work guys

RE: fuel filter removal. The tools dont fully disengage the filter like they should so they have to be "worked" I should just cut the tubing and replace the filter with one that just uses hose clamps next time, It would be a WHOLE lot easier.

In my experience...It's eaiser to simply unbolt the 2-10mm hold down bolts, pull the filter out a bit, and use a small hacksaw to cut the 2 nipple ends of the filter off, then, you can fight with it more...

Saves a ton of time..

The tank was put in, and had to be brought back out...

Seems the pump can get power to it, but doesn't actually try to "Pump"...Just, a "Click" and that's it..

Coming from the pump, so it isn't a relay, etc....
