went to the JY today looking for 2 rims and a fan. of course i wandered through the truck section and found 3 extended cab trucks with the grey rubber floor liner.

didnt have time to get it today but i found out next weekend is 50% off at the JY so im goin back for the best one of the three. then i can get rid of the damn carpet in my truck. its so stained and looks like someone spilled something in the back under the seat that i haven't been able to get out. im soooo looking forward to the rubber floor. so much easier to clean.

and made arrangements with a guy from work to meet me at the shop in the morning to help me with the bodylift. looks like the drivers rear cab mount is going to be a pain since the bole it right above the gas tank strap.... lol

Removing 15 yo. + window tint can be a REAL P.I.T.A. but it didn't go too bad at all. We had a high temp of 96* before the eclipse :-X06 and with that heat and some (home made) spray... Windex, ammonia, Dawn dish soap, helped it come off like a wizz ...AAHH I can see out again :-jammin:-headbang:-kneeslap, Dave :-wink

And did a temp setup with the exhaust....I'm kinda/sorta liking the Thrush Glasspack....Idk yet..

Might just go full blown muffler again....

Troubleshot the truck earlier yesterday...No running lights/turn signals.....Still on the hunt for the culprit..

This is what the small helping of wood was for....My fiancee and I had a small cookout/relaxing time at our pond...

Dude, your truck looks AWESOME now. Relocating rear bumper is easy, unless you're just going to fill the gap with some diamond plate or something.

Over the weekend:

Got my new carpet installed, installed the interior, along with the Steel Horse visor shelf/overhead console with a cool Centurion switch panel. Also installed the Lund moon visor.

Today: Went to the DMV to register it, only to find out that the vehicle is "suspended", which I had never heard of. Story is, the PO failed inspection, didn't bother to try to pass, let the registration get suspended, then sold it to me. Because of this, I had to get a 5-day temporary plate so I can take it for inspection, then go back to the DMV once it passes and get regular plates.

I really do hate RI sometimes.... :)

I intend to build both front and rear bumpers but not sure when I'll get to that. I think I might find a strip of rubber to cover the gap for the time being

Been working on an engine rebuild project, planned for 8 months and I just declared success at 2 years. Took much longer than expected but I learned a **** ton! Along the way I really missed my truck, so this was a good day for me.

Washed the truck for the first time in ~2 years then took it and Roofus for a ride of about a mile around the neighborhood.

Yes, it is a beast. A neighbor of mine thought my truck was this mean chopper with short pipes just down the street just by hearing the noise. But the reason why I couldn't drive it far is because there is something wrong with the tranny. Right now it's in the shop being rebuilt (just the tranny :)) and I hope to have it by end of week.

Oh mind you, when the time is right...I don't intent to have those NEW tires last more than 10000 miles and there will be video goodness. Did you ever see the pic I posted of the motor? I posted it in a few forum posts a while back.
