We try. Our second running piece is a 1976 Hahn, refurbished in 86 by Pierce. At that time it was brought up to the latest NFPA standards. We will probably replace that truck within the next few years.

Husband: Oh, come on.

Wife: Leave me alone!

Husband: It won't take long.

Wife: I won't be able to sleep afterwards.

Husband: I can't sleep without it.

Wife: Why do you think of things like this in the middle of the night?

Husband: Because I'm Hot.

Wife: You get hot at the darnedest times.

Husband: If you love me I wouldn't have to beg you.

Wife: If you love me you'd be more considerate.

Husband: You don't love me anymore.

Wife: Yes I do, but let's forget it for tonight.

Husband: Please...come on

Wife: Alright, I'll do it.

Husband: What's the matter? Need a torch?

Wife: I can't find it.

Husband: Oh, for heaven's sake, feel for it!

Wife: There! Are you satisfied?

Husband: Oh, yes.

Wife: Is it up far enough?

Husband: Oh, that's good.

Wife: Now go to sleep, and from now on when you want the window open, do it yourself.

:) I noticed thte 1976 Hahn..But everyone up here is itching to get rid of standards and go Auto..Because of the NFPA rulings.

IMHO, I feel all firetrucks should be manual transmissions. This keeps the inexperience drivers that just drive a 4 cylinder rice burner from getting behind the wheel of a large truck w/5000 + gallons of water and driving it like they stole it.

How do you get a one armed man out of a tree?

Wave at him:-wink

:) LOL...I agree with you there..Glad someone feels the same as I do..:) What about the handful of Autos that have jumped into drive while pumping water and taking off down the street. Have you heard about that happening

sglaine 11-26-2007 09:23 PM

I also can not stand a truck that is run on computer

defyrftr 11-26-2007 09:23 PM

I haven't heard of any around here. That is why we have wheel chocks that never get used.

Some technology is good, but some time we go way overboard.

One case I know of the pump operater did have the chocks in place but it did not stop the 1996 International Crew cab 1200 GPM truck taking off down the street and through a stonewall
