Gauge cluster question
Hi all,
I have an 85' F-150 and my temp. gauge doesn't work. I replaced the sensor but still no go. I followed all of the wires and everything seems ok. I think I am going to try and replace the gauge cluster. Does anyone know of a good replacement option; from a different model year perhaps? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Fil 85' F-150 Inline 6 |
you can order the replacement gauge factory from lmc truck. or find one in the j yard. i might can find one.

If you're replacimg it anyhow - I would go with an aftermarket, the mfg gauges are nortoriously inaccurate. Just my $.02.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the responses. I will take a look at the aftermarket options. Does anyone have a web address for LMC Trucks? Thanks, Fil 85' F-150 Inline 6 |

Did you ground the wire going to the senor to see if your gauge moved all the way over?? If you did ground it and it didn't move then the gauge is bad and you are going the right way. Make sure you have power to the gauge as sometime it is that simple

Old Tired Rebel, thanks for the link. They've got some neat stuff on there! Max E, I did ground the sensor wire and the gauge didn't move. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll order the gauge and we'll see what happens!
