had my lightning dyno'd

I run 12 lbs of boost on my 2004 ford lighting with long tube headers, granateli mass air senor, flow master mufflers, accufad throttle body, had it dyno at romar last week,400 hp and414 lb's of torgue at rear wheels; is that good or not, my biablos sport tune with max fuel added,i had a a-f of 13-69 have to get custom tune

Blurry94 05-22-2005 12:40 AM

I'm gathering that your A/F ratios were 13.69, and that is way too lean for a blown application. Something around 12.0 A/F ratio is good and safe under boost.

Silver Streak 05-27-2005 03:36 PM

What he said. Richening it up will probably cost you a few hp, but will keep it alive longer.

How good the numbers are depends on several things. Are they corrected, and if so are they SAE or STD? My truck did 374/445 SAE with long tubes/exhaust and a drop in filter.

hi!!!!.......

i also have the 5.6L but with a whipple supercharger...... its runing on 13 lbs of boost.... but i´m only doing 405hp at 4750rpm........ something is going wrong??
it has shorty headers
3" exhaust tubes
deltachip.... diablo sport
crane cams.
titanium valvesprings
bigger valves..
magnaflow muffler...

raymond armstrong 05-27-2005 08:40 PM

why wood they not,be corrected, make five runs on dyno, all five runs.came with in five horse powder, cost me two hundred dollars

MauGomez 05-27-2005 10:35 PM

i had my 5 dyno runs........ but.... I think it should be giving more HP to the wheels....

can someone recommendme a std tranny(high performance please...)

raymond armstrong 05-27-2005 11:25 PM

[QUOTE=armstrong, with what you have,i wood think about 450 hp at thr rear wheels, wood be right i think long tube headers, wood make more hp.

MauGomez 05-27-2005 11:29 PM

really, i thought shorty ones where better.....

nothing about the tranny?

raymond armstrong 05-29-2005 10:32 PM

generally speaking the air fuel mixture should be ajusted toward the rich side, a slightly rich condition means more powder and actually helps cool the combustion not less powder, like silver streak said,

had my lighting dyno

[QUOTE= raymond armstrong, they are sae same as yours,so it has to be corrected as yours is supposely, have a nice day

My 04 makes 412HP and 502 Ft/Lb of torque at 12 pounds of boost. Your HP seems fine, but your torque is a little low. I agree that 13.6 A/F is uncomfortably lean. Get your chip re-burned for a 11.8 to 12.3 A/F and your truck will be happier. In my opinion long tubes out perform shorties

raymond armstrong 05-31-2005 08:12 PM

on your lighting truck, that make 412 hp,what mods,do you have, what are your times at the track

sigma 06-01-2005 05:55 AM

4-Pound Pulley
Ported Blower
C&L Plenum
AF-1 Intake
RWTD tune
JLP Traction Bars
FTVB

I bought the truck last summer and have yet to get to the track. The truck is a daily driver (22,000 miles in the last 11 months) and will never see much track time. Anyway, now that I have the mods I wanted in place, I’ll probably hit the local 1/8 mile a couple of times for grins. The closest ¼ mile is over two hours away and just not worth the drive to me.
