True, all the way around. Back to you, Dylan.......

dylansf23 08-12-2014 10:29 PM

I would just like to say that I am thoroughly confused...I guess it's the hour or the completely drained body from being in the sun and sandblasting all day but thank y'all.

Gary Lewis 08-12-2014 10:42 PM

In what way aren't you confused? We just need to know 'cause our plan is to confuse you on all aspects, so if we've missed one we do need to know.

Seriously though, we will be happy to pontificate endlessly, just tell us what the topic is and we will take it from there.

Looking good Dylan! :-X22

I like that Saginaw. :)

You might want to pull that shaft apart and grease the splines while you have the chance.
Gary Lewis has a thread about Dad's driveshafts (I think)
At the very least he has details and pic's of it coming apart.

Thanks!

Yeah I picked that, the brackets, a new fan cover, and some 10mm wires for 40$!
And since the motors out I'll do the steering gear too and maybe tie rods ends and go moog it up, maybe later though.

As far as the boot I think it's not a screw tighten so I might not be easy to seal back up.
Do you know what page it was on? Last I checked that was a big thread.

ArdWrknTrk 08-14-2014 08:43 PM

Gary has a lot of big threads, but he is subscribed so maybe he will point the way.

I'll do an advanced search and see what turns up.

dylansf23 08-14-2014 09:54 PM

welp, i couldnt find a decent one online except from ebay. i forgot my friend works at a shop, im going to see if he can send me a few wiring diagrams and i can go from there.
i have the owners manual and the engine troubleshooting and an electrical manual, in my other truck...at base..four hours away lol. i did grab the fourwheeling and like fifteen other manuals and the original purchase price of that truck. literally everything...but nothing for my good truck lol( this was the parts truck i bought awhile back(where i got the skid plates from))

Gary Lewis 08-15-2014 08:39 AM

Sorry I'm late to the party. Was out yesterday and back in late.

It looks like there are two questions - one about wiring, although I'm not sure what, and one about the driveshaft. Here's a link to what I found on Rusty's driveshaft. Is that what you are needing?

ArdWrknTrk 08-15-2014 08:57 AM

Dylan was asking for a wiring diagram.
I told him that an EVTM was best.
But his manual is four hours away.
He needs something online.

Gary Lewis 08-15-2014 09:05 AM

Wiring for? I have an 81 EVTM with part of it already scanned in.

ArdWrknTrk 08-15-2014 11:42 AM

Dylan's profile says he has an '85 F-250 w/ a 300....
My EVTM isn't scanned, but it only suits bricknose anyhow.

Gary Lewis 08-15-2014 11:51 AM

So, he's just looking for the whole EVTM or a specific page? I don't think it is kosher to give him everything, but if he's just looking for the wiring diagram on one thing then I could to do that, assuming it is in my EVTM. But I've gone back a page and don't see a request for a specific diagram so am lost - as usual.

dylansf23 08-15-2014 12:07 PM

My bad guys.

The evtm I need is for the feedback carb on a straight six f250 no cruise control engine bay. Manual.

I haven't talked to my friend yet. Spent my morning in the dmv...yay!

That trans I have is going to the scraper as I pick up the 4x4 one.

Also got a set of 39.5 iroks with about a half inch tread fit free last night. Going on the bud's jeep.

Going to pull the drive shaft apart, although it doesn't have any side to side slop like my bud's, so I might just clean it.

Gary Lewis 08-15-2014 01:10 PM

First, don't put the driveshaft on w/o checking it out as you may have to take it off to find a vibration. And now is the time to get the old grease out and new grease in since the old grease can easily block new grease from getting in.

Second, is this what you need?
