BC's May Days, Rolling Into Summer BS/Chat

Wow April is now gone. That seemed to go pretty quickly. We should be starting out with some boffo weather here. I for one hope it stays a while.

Hello Steve. How was your day.

Steve GG 05-01-2014 11:26 PM

It was another busy night at work.. But a good day..

How was your Sunday??

Not too bad Steve. Fixed my trans temp gauge and did a little work in the back yard. We are going to put in some sod I think.

That sounds good.. I worked on the Miata a little today. It had a slight leak by the thermostat hose connection. I tightened the clamp and I think that fixed it.

Nice when it's an easy fix isn't it.

Steve GG 05-01-2014 11:35 PM

I will check it out tomorrow to be sure.. It was jumping toward hot last night on the way home. Checked the radiator today and it was down a lot..

Zip 05-01-2014 11:37 PM

I guess if you hadn't noticed it for a while you could loose a fair bit with just a small leak.

Steve GG 05-01-2014 11:45 PM

I didn't notice it even when I checked my oil.. It was cool then and I guess the fluid would evaporate over night.. I will just have to keep an eye on it for a while..

Sometimes you can just miss things like that. I have done it more than once. The system is under pressure when hot. So as it cooled the coolant that leaked could have evaporated. It probably wouldn't leak when cool.

It didn't spray, just sort of oozed out..
