Lifter Pump leaking oil

Hey guys need advice on a lifter pump. I was under my truck yesterday Looking to do a coolant flush and oil was all over the bottom of my engine. I took a look and the lifter pump was the source of the leak. I pulled the oil dipstick and It didn't smell like diesel so I'm thinking it might just be a bad seal on the lifter? It's leaking quite a bit but I don't have much time or money to fix it...Is it gonna be a big problem if i leave it alone for awhile or am I in trouble of fuel gettin in the crankcase? If i pull the lifter is it better to just replace it or reseal it? How much does a new lifter cost and how hard is it to replace?

There is a gasket that seals the lift pump to the engine. Your gasket is either missing or leaking. Its only a few dollars for a new gasket, or you might be able to just use RTV.

Fuel leaking in happens when the diaphragm in the lift pump fails. Two totally different and unrelated issues.

Pretty easy to pull it and reseal. No reason to replace it
