Center console shifter interlock
 

Guys, my 2008 FX4 won't disengage from park without depressing the manual release (white button). All I need to know is the part number for that solenoid. None of my local parts stores have a clue and I don't trust my local stealerships.

Put a meter on the solenoid wires and see if you are getting the voltage when you step on the brakes. If not, you'll need to get an electrical drawing that shows where the power comes from.

Well, I took it apart today to change out the part and what do you know? I ordered the wrong part. Does anyone know the correct part # for the CENTER CONSOLE shift interlock solenoid?

I just disabled mine by putting a little piece of wood in there so it was always in the down position. Fixed. We drove for years without this brake/shift lock function on our vehicles. anyway, thats how I fixed mine. I changed the brake switch too, it was only like 40 bucks.
