2.5 inch coil spacers & 2.5 inch lift blocks
 

Ok I have a 1993 F-150 XLT extended cab 2WD that I am gonna lift just a tad. I just want information on what else I will need to complete the job. The extended U bolts are included in the kit but I think I will be needing something else for the front end. I keep hearing that the bolt that goes through the I-beam (2WD) will not be long enough after the spacer is put in place? Is this true? What extra items have you all utilized for a lift like this on a 2WD truck... thanks! And please don't criticize on me being cheap and not getting lift coils instead just please don't...

The bottom spring retainer cup stud may be too short with spacers installed. You can buy extenders for those on Ebay also, and I know Jeff's Bronco Graveyard has them too.

For the front, with a 2.5" lift, camber bushings may not be enough to get everything back in spec. You may want to check into drop brackets for the I beams and radius arms.

What do those stud extenders look like? please show me :) And you are correct about the height affecting camber too much and making it out of spec but I got springs that are sagging already so if you take that into account let's just say the actual lift amount will be hmm less than 2 inches because of the aged springs... or maybe close to 2 inches hopefully lol

wait aren't the stud extenders on the kit for that? sorry it's kind of new to me... IDK if you actually looked at the link to ebay, but just correct me if i'm wrong

I did look at the link before replying. In the kit, the extenders LOOK exactly like coil spring stud extenders, but they describe them as shock extenders, which are totally different.

Here's a link to the extenders on another site. They're listed for a 4wd, so you'd probably have to call them and see if they'll fit a 2wd also.

Maybe they are mislabeled they look exactly the same to me, I messaged the seller days back but never responded to my question :( stupid seller! Anyone else had experience with these "Ebay" kits?

Just re-read the fitment application list and it's not even for a 2WD F150 LOL it's only for a ranger and bronco II

Well, if the kit doesn't come with them, they're easy enough to make. Figure out the thread size, then get some threaded rod and coupling nuts in the same size at your local hardware store. Cut threaded rod pieces to the length you need, and screw them onto the factory studs using the coupling nuts.

Ahh I see, yes I heard about the local hardware store having those things to make my own extended studs, well thank you for your help, I guess I will order then when I get it will ask around if indeed the included "extended stud" is the extended stud needed and not some shock extender lol

Is this how it's supposed to look stock? It's a 2WD and the pictures i've been seeing look different, can anyone confirm please if where the spring sits looks like this...

Coil Spring above looks the same as mine, in a 90 F150 2wd. And I'm kinda sure the suspension didn't change between those years, seeing as lift kits fit up and down the scale.

Also, have you thought about Bronco Graveyard? Forgive my shameless advertising, but he has 3" rear blocks tapered to address drive shaft angle, for $69, then what you need is 3" front spacers or his 4" front coils for $135 and it'll level you out. I understand balling on a budget, and wanting to save where you can, but suspension is everything, without where would we be. And Bronco Graveyard is really well known, compared to some ebay seller.

I don't need that high lol, I am already pushing it with 2.5", need it so ppl can get on without jumping. anyways the spacers will be on top of that cup thingy right? and just below the spring? in other words in between lol

I've never done it, but I'm guessing it goes under the coil, on top of the coil bucket(cup thingy). Other than that it can only go under the coil bucket. You usually have to take off the wheel, shock, coil spring, and coil bucket, install the spacer, then put it all back together.
