Whatever bumper I get will end up with the same system. Yours runs off a switch yeah? Does it go to a battery then the switch and a ground or is there a fuse or whatever? Maybe it's tied into a 12v constant?

joshofalltrades 03-28-2013 11:42 PM

yeah, they're on a toggle switch. i know theres a fuse or breaker up by the battery, and i don't remember if i wired them through a relay or directly through the switch - probably a relay knowing me. in any case, they're pulling direct battery power, which makes them useful for a worklight with the engine off if i ever need them for that.

on another truck, where the factory reverse light circuit actually works, i built them with a switch that goes on-off-automatic with the automatic side being controlled through the stock reverse light switch on the tranny. but i have all kinds of stuff wired into that truck too...

Ok let's see if this works. As I'm on my phone. Here is the link to that bumper I was talking about. Looks pretty easy. I would help you out if you were interested.

Those custom bumpers always make broncos look pretty mean. If you can afford the metal, I'd go with it.

Issue is.. I can't. I just dumped $438 on 4 new rims for my bronco. This is what I got

Those should look pretty slick on there. It was these or a set that the D style holes in it. These should be in around Tuesday of next week.

Today was a hell of a day though, had a rear tire on my moms van that I am using blew out...

I don't know what's going on but it's annoying.

Dang this thread was more of a BS thread than the actual BS thread... Anyways, Joe, did the mods remove that thread you made for Opossum? I can't find it.

Yahiko 03-30-2013 03:23 AM

Well because this looks more like a PSEUDO BS thread I'll ask this here.

I would like to know if anyone has the ability to monitor there CPU usage
when they are on a FTE page. Is is high and do you have JAVA and JAVA
script enabled? I am getting one very large CPU load when I am on pages
and have had to disable the JAVA functions so I can type. Yes it's that bad.
With JAVA on all 8 cores are showing a lot of load with it off ........zip for load.
It does not happen all the time. It's just screwy.

Sean :-drink

That's a bit odd. when I get on my computer later I'll see what mine is. I only have a quad core though. And I do happen to have java.

Highest I've seen my quad core laptop go while on fte is 30% when loading a page. Odd I looked for Java settings in IE10 and didn't see them but can only assume they are both enabled.

Sure is! I almost forgot about it till I glanced at my calendar and saw that it was today. I have to wait till my neighbor gets home so I can borrow a big drill bit to drill out my backing plate holes. They are smaller than the one that came off it.

This means that TGM probably won't make it up here tonight :( But we will see.

As for the CPU usage, Here is what mine did.

The usage is fairly low and only spikes for a tiny millisecond then it's back down. What version are you guys running? I have Version 7 update 17 which is newest. Here is a link to the Java site to verify which version you have.

I am also running Firefox as my browser.

GruesomeJeans 03-30-2013 07:50 PM

I'm here a bit early :D but not a couple hours early this time around.

oddfordjunkie 03-31-2013 02:15 AM

Yahiko, that ambulance package is on craigslist for $300.

GruesomeJeans 03-31-2013 02:20 AM

Well the meet went well If I do say so myself. Time to create the new threads :)

GruesomeJeans 03-31-2013 02:25 AM

New meet thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post13010300

I didn't do the BS thread cause I realized it's the 31st still... Lets see if you guys will beat me too it :p
