Small Explorer 4X4 Project 56k Warning...
My 96 Explorer has been a small project, not an Xtreme 4X4 just a moderate trail vehicle that goes most places Jeeps say it wont because its IFS and a Ford. For it not having alot of lift and scraping alot it does go places :)
It currently has 202k on original engine and 4R55E transmission Dana 35 front with 4.88 Gears 8.8 Rear with 4.88 Gears open differentials at the moment 2" Suspension 33X12.50 Mud tires Sway Bars Gone Future plans, I'm debating on cutting out the IFS in favor of the Solid Axle I have or just going with a custom coil over lift and deleting the torsion bars with the Superlift. Need to get a set of rock sliders and rear locker would be a nice addition.
