Power Steering Pump Pulley

Trying to fix a chirping noise which seems to be coming from the power steering pump or pump pulley in my 86 F150 302 EFI. Tried lubricating the belt and the chirping goes away then returns. Planning to replace the pump and would also like to replace the pulley but have not been able to locate a new pulley. Is used the only option for a replacement pulley? Thanks for any helpful suggestions.

Try to see if the pully(s) are in alignment with each other. Lubricant on a belt [belt dressing] is a "band aid" at best. Some have luck using emmory cloth to sand and roughen up the inside of the pully [with the belt removed] and then replace the belt.

Your belt could have hardened up and it's no longer as flexible as it needs to be. Or the belt could be glazed.

I had this exact problem a couple of years ago. The belt was the culprit.

I'd try replacing just the belt first.

My father had a trick of laying a round rasp in a pulley and hitting it, lightly, with a hammer. Then he rotated the pulley and did it again, and again, until he had a light pattern of ridges in the pulley. It solved a whole lot of squeaks over the years.

My PS pump belt constantly makes a chirping and squealing noise because the PO removed the AC bracket and put flat washers in its place. That bracket is what also aligns the PS pump side-to-side, so even though the washers are a close match, it's still off enough to cause noise.
