77 4x4 front end rebuild

Hey guys, my truck is in desperate need of some front end work. The steering has lots of play in it and is very loose. Ive found a C-Bushing kit at Bronco Graveyard, what else is needed to complete the rebuild. I won't be doing the work, only purchasing the parts.
Thanks

I'd replace the tie rod ends and ball joint to.

On all my 1977 F150's, I changed the tie rods over to 1978. I would hate to guess how many 1977 tie rods Ive bent rock crawling and getting wild, due to the fact that it comes new with a bend in it. That is the week link in a 77.

Thanks for the tips, I figured on replacing all the parts mentioned. Just didn't want to miss anything.

Does the kit come with tracbar bushings? I'd bet money those are wore out too.

Yea, it includes C-bushings, trac-bar bushings and strut arm bushings.

You will also want to check the bolt that secures the track bar to the axle and make sure the bolt hasn't worn, or the hole in the axle tube is still tight on the bolt. They tend to wallow out.;)

2X.. change over to the 78-79 T-style drag link and tie rods.

Poly shock eye bushings and poly tie rod boots are worth considering.

If your slack problem isn't resolved after rebuild, change out the steering gear box also.

Ck the rag joint and the steering shaft, and wheel bearings since you are right there.

"Red Head" steering had a great rep as far as steering boxes.
