2000 5.4 with 182000. Still original trans, engine & rear end. Only problems were front end rebuild about 30000 mies ago. Still gets the job done. Just wished it got a little better MPG both towing & unloaded.
Electric door lock are bad, radio display & front seat cover need replacing but can't find original fabric.
Am adding a Fold A Cover this year & hope it lasts a little longer as it is my daily driver & travel trailer towing vehicle. Don't know if this truck will ever die but am going to find out.

My 03' 250 super duty 5.4 has 275,000 on her and runs just as good now as she did when I bought her at 94,000

170,850 on my '01 e150 4.6 2v

just got the tranny rebuilt. original everything else. did plugs and coils at 150k.

amazingly smooth motor. i can see this guy lasting longer than my dodge 360, which went to 290k with plenty of life left.

I just bought a 2010 F250 crew s/b 4x4 and it has 324,000 KM on it , a major ticking sound so I am taking it to the ford shop to see what the issue might be, cam phazor or who knows what. Runs smooth with no issues though, even at -32 C

Good news from the Ford Dealer, nothing wrong with the engine, it only needed a rocker adjustment to quit down that ticking! Yahoo! $7500 Canadian, what a steal! No rust, two interior bulbs burnt out, needs brakes, and the radio light doesn't work! Other than that it is good to go.
New 2 inch lift, new tires, new winch bumper and a locker for the rear, Presto: New Hunting Truck! YAHOOO!

Wow Al, that's truly amazing, what engine 4.6 or 5.4?

5.4 - it was making valve-type noises along with the regular 5.4 noises, then it ran rough, made a noise like a shredded serpentine belt slapping the accessories then the noises went away (the serpentine belt was fine). Its now quieter than its been in 3 or 4 hundred k miles. Scaring the crap out of me so I am planning to replace the engine in a couple of weeks.

Be interesting to dissect it to see what's worn. I take it that you kept up with the oil changes? what type oil? If it were me, I'd just run it until the end, to see how far it'll go; but I typically don't travel very far.

Changed the oil every 5k miles with conventional 5w20.

Just turned 54,000 miles on my 2007 F-150 5.4, up from less than 27,000 when I inherited it a couple years ago. It's all original except a fender, mirror, and wheel. Apparently my father in law had a habit of running into things that he never got around to telling us about.

Nice :D I will say this, the Ford gas engines for the most part, My 2008 with close to 299K on it has been a solid engine for the most part, I never really had any major issues with it, Most of it has been just maintenance stuff like plugs , cops, serpentine belt, air filters ,coolant ,thermostat and not things I had to do but just items I change on my schedule. I have always thought of maintenance of doing something before it happens that requires you to do it now

The biggest know that I have seen from most folks is the cam phaser issues and the other items it could be tensioner, guides, timing chain oil pump

but with two 5.4's one at 210k and the other close to 200k and my other at 299k in my mind the trucks have been pretty good I hope to see 500k like some of the other fellas in this thread have had.
