Plugs, COP's, Boots

So the local shop quoted me like $380 to change out the plugs in my 2002 v8. They quoted me bosch plats for like $25 each, and the rest is labor.

So I'm kind of on a budget so I've been looking around. Going to Ford's website, the DG491 (same thing as a 508??) cops for my truck are $75 each, and the plugs SP479 are like $7 each.

Ive been watching ebay, and the COPS seem to average $49 or higher. I saw someone post on here they just got a whole set for the mid $300s.

So I found this today:

Genuine New Motorcraft Ignition Coil DG508 DG491 FD503

$39 each for the coil and boot (unless they remove them from the box).

Anyone ever here of this company? Is this a good price, or should I keep shopping? My truck is still having the stumbling issue and Id like to replace the plugs/cops/boots all at once and be done with it.

Thoughts?

Oh, and part 2: Fords shows the SP479 as my plugs, and dg491 as my cops. Should I stick with these, or is there a better model?

Also, Ive seen used cops online with like 5k miles on them. Are these good enough to go for?

Thanks for the input!

or how about these?

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

The actual auction says "Motorcraft" in the brand up top, so I messaged the seller. He confirmed that these are -NOT- motorcraft, but insists that they are made exceeding OEM requirements and have a lifetime warranty.

Thoughts?

Almost everything I read says to stay with Motorcraft parts for cops and plugs on these motors. Some have had luck with the "ebay" cops but others have not.

As for the boots/springs, I don't think the brand of those are as critical. I ended up using a set of Denso boots from Rock Auto. Definitely want to change the boots though while you're in there!

Yikes, my plugs cost about $2 each and my boots were about the same, and I put them in myself (easy). I would never replace a cop that wasn't bad, they don't automatically go bad.

Was at dealership today. Parts guy that I have used a lot said you could not buy the boots separate. He said you have to buy the coil too? I get employee price and they are 44$ and some change each for the coil and boot. I don't need coils and i dont want to spend 450! Can u get boots from napa? Or is my parts guy wrong? I like staying w Motorcraft

Parts guy is wrong. Check another store.

I know for a fact autozone sells just the boots. I have only used motorcraft plugs on any of my fords. Autozone sells the plugs as well. There is a few good write ups on here if you want to tackle the job yourself.
I have used Ebay COP's before, they are hit or miss. After 3 bad ones in one batch I threw them away and put my old ones back on, they were better than the new ones. Unless you have a misfire then change that one. They really aren't a "maintainence item"

he said it looks like you can get them seperate (Motorcraft from dealer) then when you actually go to pull the part number it shows them together only.

I bought Denso brand boots/springs from Rock Auto. Part number 671-8110 for my 5.4L...
