Thanks, I am no body man and as you can see it took me a month to cut and put back together. I had to Re-do a couple times, but I'm glad I took my time.

As mention before great progress in the making; dash bezel and gauges looks right, as if factory option. Keep up the good work........

Success!!!! After a frustrating day of not being able to fire the engine between the old battery, fouled plugs, and my forgetfulness. Apparently I installed a cam for a 302 which has s different firing order than the 251w. (insert stupid insult) So after getting the firing order correct the motor roared to life! For a bit until the thermostat opened and spewed water all over my dizzy. No more fire roaring. Dried out Dizzy and still no workey. After some research I checked my rocker arms, 4 were loosy goosey....So I reset them all. Once again 6 minutes of running and then spitting out of the carb. Let engine cool....recheck rockers....6 loose now. More research....hmm lets try tightening down to 20 ft lbs. SUCCESS!!! Sounds real good and fired on the first crank. Last night we finished breakin, had a few minor leaks to deal with. Also brakes are plumbed and ready to be bled, then mount sway bar and hit the road!!!!!

Not too "junky", but fairly "O-rific".

Thanks guys!! Well another frantic weekend of success and failure. Brakes are STILL leaking. They bled but still drip. Had to buy a new carb the other is just worn out. Lesson for the day don't buy a used carb. There is a reason someone is selling it! New edelbrock 1406, fired right up and idled great. Set the timing and mounted the sway bar. On to the TV Kickdown adjustment....no pressure at all. Pull tranny after cutting old trans crossmember out and take it to shop. Looks like I smashed the pump installing the AOD....bummer. Brakes still leaking.....

Nothing new to report, but I did take a couple pics of the new carb!!!

Trans is back in the truck, it needed a full rebuild. I think I fixed that pesky brake leak. Hood is back on, needs bumper installed. Buying fluid tonight and trying to setup the kickdown....if all goes right I'm crusiin!!!

Good new!! Trans pumps fluid!!!

Bad news trans cooler lines leak....everywhere.

The radiator needs super long 1/2 20 inverted flare fitting for my 5/16 hard line. NOBODY has them.... Stupid Ford an their proprietary fittings.

Do you have a local hose specialty shop? If not, well I don't know how to give you complete instructions to have these guys make you a hose. But the place in Spokane Valley is called Hose of Hose. They're on E. Sprague

I called around to all the trans shops last week. I found a shop with 1. When I went to go pick it up he had found another! Not only that but the guys were super cool and had the shorter trans adapters also...out the door $20 lighter and feeling gravy!!!

No onto the problems. the truck pulled itself into my garage under the 351 power!! only to not move againg the next morning after warmed up. I am stumped, it's at the trans shop this week being they rebuilt it and I am tired of looking at it.

Still at the trans shop. Turns out the flex plate is the wrong one....which was the cause of a ton of problems. The trans guys are on it and I think it will be done next week.

Okay well I got it back and been driving all weekend!!! FYI if you have a 351W and want to run an AOD you need an aftermarket flex plate. ONe with 164 teeth 28oz off balance and 14.xx" diameter. I ordered mine from KMJ performance in Iowa. here is the part # KMJ FP302ESFI

Anyway I am also knee deep in a kitchen remodel so pics will come slowly. So far the truck is fantastic but needs shorter gears, the 4.11s are a bit much on the highway.
