Carb hook up to 351/C-6
 

So I got a new Edelbrock carb 1406 for my 351/C-6 in my 75 truck. I bought an adapter 1483 Ford Throttle Lever Adapter and a 1491 Ford 351W throttle cable plate kit. I put the throttle kit on, but it just does not seem correct.

It does not seem like I have the throttle cable hooked up correctly and I don't see how the kick down CABLE, not rod for the transmission hooks up.

I am guessing from the engine ID number that the 351w is out of an 84 vehicle and I would guess the transmission is also as it has a cable for the kick down.

Does anyone running a similar set up have a picture I could see? Any ideas of what I might do? The spring the kit provided me does not retract the throttle cable and makes me feel like I don't have it connected correctly.

The first few pictures show the old carb and the studs that the cables hooked to. Can I buy those studs and put them on the new carb and take of the adapter I just put on?
