Congrats on a nice find! Unusual wench/bumper combo. Is it manufactured or home made? :-drink
.

haha i just locked the hubs and put it in 4x4 and it was fine and he looked kinda shocked but didnt say anything and i drove it on my trailer.

The winch looks like it was possibly dealer installed or something. Its pretty cool how its tucked inside there but it does hang kind of low.

What did you mean about the Super Duty wheel conversion? How did you do that?

The newer trucks have a different 8 lug pattern, I think `boggin79' listed it in the previous page. I dont' want to speak out of line here so a reply from him might be better suited.

I recall reading through a thread where someone swapped in a later model 10.5 disk brake rear out of a super duty and had to have the hubs drilled to correct the lug pattern from new 8 lug to old 8 lug.

That's the only reason I'm posting. :-X03

Yes I know the size difference, I wanted to know how he changed the bolt pattern. I like some of the new wheels that are out there but they wont fit some of my bigger trucks.

Ok. Fair. As I stated, you can re drill the hubs. :-X22

I dont see many late model wheels on our older trucks, I am looking to do this because it is getting harder and harder to find 16.5 tires.

Those super duty wheels were on a 77 f350 that I bought. I don't know who did the work to adapt them. It looks like they may have been drilled out with a metal insert installed in them.

so i picked up a parts truck for the axles to put in the f150 sc and make it an 8 lug.

it had delay wipers and courtesy lights which now reside in the super cab. I should have the axles swapped by this weekend.

tore apart the parts truck on saturday and cleaned up and swapped the axles today. they bolted right in the only snag was the drive shaft was a tad bit too long but i still had the original rear drive shaft out of my super cab before i swapped the 14 bolt and it was good to go.
