89 f250 truck side trailer wire colors and what they are for
 

i have an 89 f250 that i am installing a 7 way rv plug, i believe it has the tow package as it has 2 plugs in the back for an oem plug in 7 way. Anyhow i couldnt find an oem plug in so i got a splice in type from napa, heres the colors i have, what do they represent, i have searched alot and also looked in the repair manual electric diagram with no real luck, thanks in advance

Black / Pink stripe (backup lamps)

Green / Pink stripe

Red / Blue stripe

White / Red Stripe (running/tail / side marker lights)

Blue / Black stripe

White

Red / Green stripe

Yellow

If the 88 schematics are the same as your 89, two of the wires have different
colors.

Black / Pink stripe = to trailer backup lamps.

Green / Pink stripe ? For a 88 shows Light Green/Orange wire = to trailer
LH turn signal lamp.

Red / Blue stripe ? For a 88 shows Orange/Light Blue = to Trailer RH
turn signal lamp.

White / Red Stripe = to trailer body marker lamps.

Blue / Black stripe = to trailer electric brakes.

White = From trailer ground.

Red / Green stripe = to trailer brake lamps.

Yellow = to trailer power.
