Ahhhh come on Eric, it's not so bad!

Jay I have been getting between 14/15 all winter. The winter fuel definitely takes the mileage down some.

Cory 12mpg is pretty good mileage with the tires you are running and the camper you pull. I only get 10.5/11 towing.....

OK Dave I will stop by just need to find some bottles to put it in. Maybe tomorrow if not Wednesday.

Hello to the rest of you on here......

Good evening Minnesota! Did everybody have a good Monday? If not Tuesday will be better.

fordpower88 04-04-2011 08:09 PM

Good evening folks! How is everyone doing tonight?

Hey Tom have you figured out a trailer or anything to move your mom back with yet?

DieselCamper01 04-04-2011 08:40 PM

Good evening guys.

Tom, I only get 15 in the summer with around town driving let alone winter.

Just watched the last 100 laps of yesterdays race. Woohoo! 4th place!

Doing good here Troy. You?

I just checked and here my running average since I bought the truck is 12.8 but remember I bought it in the fall. I also have a heavy foot and a LOT of short trips. Usually 10-11mpg it looks like lately.

Perhaps. And it is possible the 460 would get it up past 60 mph. I doubt the 6.9 IDI would though.

DieselCamper01 04-04-2011 09:18 PM

I would have expected yours to be a bit better Chris. I am sure that my 2-3 mile trips all winter long don't help my mileage.

DieselCamper01 04-04-2011 09:20 PM

Hey Eric. Yeah I did not think about those gears when I posted that link. 4.30's would be better I suppose or 3.73 like I have.

Skattracker3 04-04-2011 09:33 PM

Wow guys. My thoughts about getting a dsl so I can get 14-15 mpg towing has kind of went out the window. I thought you guys would at least get 12 all day long. I am now really happy with 9 and my gasser towing. I may just need to keep it since that money tree is not producing yet. Maybe gears this spring if I can get rid of a tractor.

Found out today that when I refinance the house to get Michelle off the loan I will save 1.35% interest. That makes it really worth it. I may even just pay off the 5er now and pay extra, or maybe a different truck. No No, I do not mean that or you guys will have one all but bought for me by the end of the week.}>

You should be better than that. Even with the short trips and floorboard is in the way mentality. Especially with the tuner...

I have been complaing about crappy milage all winter.....Only getting about 11......Used to get 16 all the time with the Ex!

dlibson 04-04-2011 09:38 PM

LOL Lee!

The savings are surely good. The summer will up the MPG's for everyone. But really diesels get their mileage on the highway and longer trips. Short trips kill 'em as far as mpg goes...

Excursion4X4 04-04-2011 09:39 PM

When Krissy took the truck to MO this last weekend she said she got 16.3 round trip.

Excursion4X4 04-04-2011 09:48 PM
