Kapusta,
Thank you for the quick reply, would be kind enough to give a little more information about the PSOM module where is located? what does it look like? What does a new one cost and what would a used one go for approximately.
Thank you in advance,

I don't have much more info but running a search on this forum should yield a lot of good results.

Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module (PSOM): A module that processes vehicle speed information for use in various electronic systems. The PSOM can be programmed to accommodate various tire and axle combinations.

The PSOM is a small computer that takes a AC voltage (Approximatly 3.5 VAC @ 30 MPH) generated by the VSS on the rear end (A variable reluctance sensor (VRS)) and uses a programmed conversion constant to convert the signal to the standard 8000 pulses per mile speed signal output and then drives the:
1. Provides information to the Speed Control Amp. for auto speed control.
2. Drives the Speedometer.
3. Keeps track of how many miles the truck has driven and sends this information to the Odometer read out.
4. Provides information to the PCM computer for the Transmission shifting, Ignition Timing and the Injector fuel control.
