Conflicting information on fuel filter location on 86' F350

I am planning on installing a new fuel filter as this one is probably from the factory. However, the filter that I got at Autozone doesn't look like anything I can find on my truck and the one at rockauto appears to be the same thing. My truck has the dual tanks with the "hot" tank system where there is an electric pump in each tank switched by the fuel valve on the frame. I did a basic trace and can't find anything that resembles a filter except for the regulator/splitter/return on the top of the engine right before the carburetor.

Any ideas or knowledge on the idea? I'm used to finding them on the frame rail but this doesn't appear to be the norm.

did you look at the main fuel line going into the carb? on some its the metal deal that screws into the carb.

Yes, already did. The only part that would contain the filter would be the joint that also is the fuel pressure regulator with the return line coming out of it and running back to the tanks. It might be hidden in there but it would be a small filter and I wanted to make sure before taking that apart.

What's the number on the filter.

I can do a cross check and see if it's the right one.

Some have a inline filter between the pump and the carb, and some screw directly into it.

This is the ne listed at Rockauto.com: Part Detail

This is the one listed on Autozone.com: Az Filters/Fuel Filter (FF205) | Fuel Filter | 1986 Ford F350 1 ton P/U 4WD 8 Cylinders L 7.5L 4BL | AutoZone.com

that fuel filter is built into the inlet side of you carburetor !

The filter is the fuel inlet on the carb. Unscrew the line, then the piece it screws into.

So the filter is the little brass piece inside the carb inlet? Doesn't seem like much.

Thats it. Not much of a filter at all, but there's also the pickup sock in the tank, some makers(Dodge for one) only use the pickup sock for filtration, nothing else.
