Nebraska Chapter Logo Ideas

It appears we have an opportunity to create our own logo to go on shirts and hats etc. I started this thread to get some ideas for a logo so when we meet eachother out on the street we can recognise who are members.
I dont really have an idea for a logo but I would like it to include an outline of the state.

cowboywanabe 03-14-2006 12:54 PM

Take a look in a couple of the other chapters to get some ideas. I know Iowa, Kansas, and the High Plains chapters all have created logos.

CBSuperduty 03-14-2006 01:54 PM

I was going to play around and see what I could come up with (I am not very good but like to play). I will see what I can do in my free time.

cowboywanabe 03-14-2006 02:13 PM

Go for it CB (or anyone else for that matter....) !

67nukeford 03-14-2006 03:29 PM

Yeah, I'll see if I can't come up with something.

cowboywanabe 03-14-2006 03:55 PM

Ok, I know I'll get grief for this.....

No big red 'N' allowed! :-D

Me like CB. But maybe have it without the state seal. Just an idea. Can you take that out an then we can see what it looks like. The Ford truck logo would be bigger which would be good. Great start man were getting there.

CBSuperduty 03-14-2006 04:49 PM

Leaving for skewl now. Will see what I can do tomorrow.

fellro86 03-14-2006 07:32 PM

Hmm, looks like the Iowa flag modified... :-X07 Looks like you guys are at a little of a disadvantage, being your flag is a single color, like South Dakota's. Check out Kansas' logo, might help inspire a bit.

67nukeford 03-14-2006 10:01 PM

Well, for the sake of CB keeping his lunch down....I agree with Rob. Too bad we could put a ford emblem in place of the state seal in CB's image. I like what he's done so far, though.

fellro86 03-14-2006 11:09 PM

No reason you can't, it's your emblem, and does not have to have the state seal or state flag used, it's all what you want on it. By having the outline, it is easy to know at a glance that it is the Nebreaska chapter, like I said, check out the Kansas chapter logo...

Here

FordTrucksKickGM 03-15-2006 09:55 AM

I like CB's logo. The state seal looks pretty good. I agree no big N and also no corn cobs. Altho I would entertain a picture of a bull and some catchy saying like "You can't feed us any bull".

CBSuperduty 03-15-2006 09:59 AM

Here is #2

and #3 (I know the outline would need touched up but you get the idea)

Don't think we could do that do to copyright laws...

Thanks to all. You too can put together some stuff.

fellro86... Your links aren't working for me. It says that I don't have permissions to view. I really like the Ohio logos but I am no where near that talented..

67nukeford 03-15-2006 10:17 AM

Nice job CB! I was thinking the same thing with the ford logo. I couldn't get the links from fellro to work either, same thing came up for me.

1979 Ford 03-15-2006 10:21 AM

I like number 2

Sorry about that, I thought it was in the general chapter forum... Here's another try...(from Rollie's gallery)https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=13827

FordTrucksKickGM 03-15-2006 01:53 PM

I vote for #3. Sweet, simple and to the point.
I just had another idea. Maybe we could put a dot or star in every location where we have members.

cowboywanabe 03-15-2006 01:55 PM

Great job CB... I like the white background better than red. Maybe do the state border outline as a double line, one in black and one in red to liven it up a bit?

67nukeford 03-15-2006 02:02 PM

Maybe go with the red, move the emblem to the right a little, then add a checked white waving flag in the panhandle (your going to be busy CB!!!!). If I wasn't so retarded at doing this kind of stuff on the computer, I'd give you a hand.

CBSuperduty 03-15-2006 03:05 PM

Boyz... You just moved out of my league... Sorry. I can't make the outline dotted as I just go the outline from another pic.

And Pat.... YEAH... I don't even know where to start..

Sorry guys. I am a network guy not a graphics person. Doesn't anyone know one of them?? Maybe if you could come up with one common idea I could see what I could do (no promises though).

67nukeford 03-15-2006 03:08 PM

Sorry, C, didn't mean to dump all of this on you, but you've definitively got a good foundation there. I'll ask some of the computer geeks here at the plant, maybe they can help!

The problem with this is that it keeps changing...

cowboywanabe 03-15-2006 07:57 PM

Here is one I came up with using CB's idea and a Nebraska license plate. I don't have any decent software to edit stuff like this, so I'm pretty much at my limit here with this one. The plate background is a little blurry and I wasn't able to sharpen it up.

Nick,

Those are great.... but I think I see a red 'N'. (I like the one with the corn cobs!)

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!! :-X01 :-X01

nikates 03-16-2006 09:27 AM

i like the 1 with the corn better too!!!

150ford 03-16-2006 09:38 AM

There all great. You guys are making it hard to decide. Ill have to think about it. The main thing is every one can see it. Visbility is important.

You guys are kicking butt! I like the license plate idea rob! Nikates, that last one with the checkered flag looks cool!

FordTrucksKickGM 03-16-2006 12:45 PM

Lots of good ideas so far. Keep'em comming.

cowboywanabe 03-16-2006 01:34 PM

Nikates - I like the latest one better than the earlier version with the corn.

I'm also trying to do one using the image from the new Nebraska quarter that will be coming out this year. I grabbed a picture of it from the State website. It's pretty neat looking, has the covered wagon and Chimney Rock.

Here is one I came up with. Pretty simple, so if any of you want to play with it, feel free!:)

Hey Rob, I like the one with the license plate, but I see a problem... the www.ford-trucks.com missing under the line in the FTE logo. Won't pass without it. (Looks better tucked under there rather than off to the side anyway...)
