Popped the hood to check oil this morning and saw the serpentine belt was starting to shred. Tensioner was coming apart. It got a new tensioner and belt. Picked up the axle seals while I was at it.

I just put locking gas caps on my truck (yea ok so theres anti theft for the tanks) but the tanks are reciently being left open slightly and its really suspicious as gas will pour out for what ever reason so i put them in to stop this crap...
also picked up fuel cleaner stuff for the entire injection system so ill be putting that in soon before next fill up :) |

I'm currently in the process of removing the stock tape player in my 96 but even with the special keys in the 4 holes it still does not want to come out. I've popped the clips and the head unit wiggles and comes out about a quarter inch but it feels like its snagged on something in the rear.
I'm about 5 minutes from using a hammer to turn the tape player into little plastic pieces to see if that will help get it out. I know it is supposed to just slide out once the clips are pushed back with the the u shaped keys but it doesn't. Any advice? Other than that I'm going to detail the interior and maybe wash it if these rain clouds move along. |

Try reaching through the glove box and pushing it out while holding the key tools out to the sides.
OR....In my case....Push the U shaped pieces in till you feel a ever so slight CLICK....Then spread them apart from one another, and pull.....Might have to get someone to do as TG said.... |

I didn't have the keys and used coat hangers. Like yours it got stuck part way out. I just had to adjust the hangers while putting pressure on the radio. You can feel each corner pop loose as you work your way around. Once all 4 corners pop loose it should slide out then.

The stock air box is actually already more than the stock motor needs. As Texas said by just adding the intake tube from a 460 or I6 truck will be the best improvement available. Then you can do like a few of us have done, and just get a drop-in k&n filter from an auto parts store

I went to Menards and got 37 2x4's, 6 4x4x10's and 34 60lb bags of concrete and watched her squat!!!!
