Boy was I surprised! I've seen lots of hot summers, but never had a cooling system hot after sitting for 2 months. Yes, it was sitting outside, but the truck is white, not black.

Another telltale sign it has been hot - my wife's Subie has a lifter that rattles until the engine gets warm. When the weather cooled off it started rattling again at startup and I realized it hadn't been rattling for two months. Apparently 110+ is hot enough to take up the slack.

I don't know about you, but I'd be looking forward to hearing that lifter rattle again real soon.

Took a week off from this site, just for the heck of it. Came back, and sure enough, it's still the slowest loading site on the interweb........
How slow is it? It reminds me of dialup days. Click link, get drink. Click second link, get rid of drink. Sheesh, I've got a relatively fast connection, and it still takes 2-3 minutes to load each page. Now I remember why I grew tired of attempting to navigate around the site.

Anyone else having this kind of issue? It is only this site that gives me problems.

Loads pretty fast for me. About the same as any other site I visit.

A free way to try and deal with all the advertising is to use Firefox and install the AdBlock + extension.

This is assuming the advertising is what is slowing you down.

The other thing you could do is pay $20/year and get a subscription, they remove most of the advertising for you.

RW - I'm not having slow response time. Yes, there have been several instances of what I'm assuming is server crashes (coming from an IT background I'm both familiar awa forgiving on this), but the response has either been good or non-existent.

Yes, I am a supporter and am running Firefox, but not the ad-killer Chris mentioned. And, response is even reasonable on my iPhone. Maybe your browser needs upgraded?
