A few chevy's or something. You know, nothing real valuable.

Thank you Scott, I appreciate that.
It has been a long time since I have done something technical as far as body work goes. It is starting to come back to me, but there are so many new products that make it a lot easier to do than 15 years ago. The poly glazes are great and the HVLP guns are awesome, last time I painted was with a siphon gun!

I installed a new rag joint this morning. Also broke out my old chiltons shop manual and adjusted some of the slack out of steering gear. She drives much better now. I am going to have to pull the steering gear and rebuild it b4 too long. I am STILL waiting on new u-joints for front axles. I cancelled order a couple of weeks ago because they were on back order. I ordered new ones from another "reputable" company and they havent arrived yet. I could get some chinese, india, korea crap locally but I really want the spicer.I am going to fill the old gal up this afternoon and check my mpg. I already know by the amount of gas I have used the past 2 weeks it has improved considerably. I can usually go 7 days to work and my lil bit of weekend driving between fill ups. So far I am into 10 days of driving to work and my lil bit of weekend driving. And she still has almost 1/4 tank. :-X04

Egr tube installed, new valve cover gaskets and edelbrock valve covers installed, bronco is buttoned up and purring like a kitten...or rather a lion! I think I know where my oil leak was coming from...the cover screws were REALLY lose!

I filled my old gal up this morning. Checked fuel mileage and am now getting 9.7. Thats up from 8.5, and includes some idleing when I adjusted carb. And a couple of full throttle blasts to check things out. I may actually get 10 mpg with normal driving. I am happy with the gains made, and I figure it will pay for itself in about 14 months. That aint too shabby a return. Maybe now I wont have to park her and buy a rice burner. :-X18

Goodbye to the old Ion wheels that I never really warmed up to, and hello to the vintage Appliance Turbo Vec wheels I always envisioned on my Bronco. Detroit Vintage Wheels did a fantastic job refinishing and powder coating these wheels. I picked up some new shoes for the steed as well, Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC radials, 35x12.5-15.

Holy Moses that is one sweet looking Bronco! Love the look of the new wheels too. :)

Very nice wheels man. I love the turbine rims. I've got MTR Kevlar Tires on my old gal. I just got black steel rims put on replacing some old aluminum ones.

Jigger2020 10-15-2013 05:52 AM

Yes the turbines are way better, well done

There was a set of 4 on Craigslist for some $250 or something. They were pretty dirty but nothing some cleaning and paint couldn't fix. Unfortunately I didn't have the cash for that. If I did get some I would probably try to photo shop them onto the truck before having them swapped.

Even if it is cheap I feel bad for the kids at discount tire who have to jack up the truck and haul the tires off. Sure it's their job but I know they don't like it. Heck I really don't like it and it's my truck. Them suckered are heavy.
