*Edit*
Just realized its about $425 to ship a block ...

I would give them a call and see what they can do for you. There is no core charge with them as long as the core is ready for pickup within 30 days. They say they offer shipping to customers outside the US.

Started to mount 3 switches in my dash

We got the fuel filter off today. Took a good 35-45 minutes to get it off.....after that, walk in the park to get new one on. Haven't driven it far enough to tell a difference, but anything should help. The mechanic doesn't believe it has ever been changed, if it was, it was probably on a 30-50K tune-up. I honestly didn't think it was that bad.....but at first, you couldn't even blow air through it. After finally letting it drain some gas out, you could barely get air through. Should help tremendously!

Lesson learned today: spend $6 and change on a filter and change it every 30-50K, rather than waiting till it hits 400K, lol

Change it every 30k. It's a cheap item that'll keep your engine running well.

I finally got to installing the new brake shoes. Got the right side done and reassembled. Then I dropped the auto-adjusting lever and spring for the left side in the grass and couldn't find them. Good thing Advance Auto had the repair kits in stock.

This is turning into a saga. It started with needing new rear tires, and is ending up with me planning to rewrite both Chilton and Haynes.

Well had all of this stuff done today. Also cleaned the throttle body, can really tell a difference in throttle response. I also bought a fuel filter, but the mechanic couldn't get it off! With just over 184,000 miles, it's never been replaced. It is STUCK! We sprayed it with PB Blaster, hoping tomorrow it will get freed up.

One of many things to come.

Try with a 90* pick or a straight pick with clips.. That's how mine came out and in rusted in line

Well place one wants $2800 and change just for the long block. Anything better out there? Guess there goes my supercharger money for the mustang.

Why not pick a junkyard motor for a couple 100$$.. Throw it in there and see if she cranks

This was on my shops 96 f350
https://scontent-a-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net/...79846306_n.jpg
Both drums were stuck and the one on the driver side was split. The star adjuster for the shoes was also just rolling around in the drum and there were broken springs too.

Had a charging issue on my 91

Bought a replacement connector from napa. I am doing a 3g swap on the truck soon and am currently waiting for my parts but I needed the truck asap.

That drum looks scary.

And I thought mine were bad.

I had chunks peeling off the open end of the drums, but at least they weren't split. Yet.

New rear tires: check
New rear brake drums: check
Painted brake drums: check
New rear brake shoes: check
New adjuster hardware, both sides: check
Lug nuts torqued to spec: check
Pulsating brake pedal fixed: check

I'm almost afraid to put the new HO2S in. Will that become another saga requiring me to replace the exhaust valves, exhaust manifolds, Y pipe, and cat by the time I'm done?

Put new air intake sensor in.. Maybe this will fix my surging idle and running rich
