Actually, I find the ride of the Ram to be more settled than the SuperDuty. Over bumps and road irregularities, the Superduty rear end would get very loose and bouncy. The Rancho 9000 shocks would help, but the entire Ram drives much more planted to the road than the Ford.
Is it a softer ride....I would not say that. The 3500 Ram does ride rougher than the 2500 as it does not have the coil rear suspension.
