    The engine and trans have only very minor differences, so if you have room you should keep them.

    And not much else. Master cylinder doesn't. Not sure about the shocks. Brake calipers do. Keep both sets of engine accessory brackets. I wish I had kept the power steering box to know if it is usable, so check into that and let me know. Fabbing would have to have been done I'm sure but so does putting any other integral PS boxes on highboys.

    I have heard that the beds are interchangable internally. You remove the 86 sides and put on the 77 sides and you have a better box. IMHO, the 80-96 boxes are better structurally and don't rust out as quickly, and I will be going that route when the time comes for me to have a box. So save your box if you have room and the inside isn't shot. I have heard that the tailgates will work to, but the contours are different.
