Conversation Between AXracer and joelburn

Hey AX. Got some questions for you - I know you run the toyota box with an aftermarket tilt column, which is what I'm going to do as well, but what length of column did you end up getting? I've seen where you posted about having to shorten the column 2 inches in the end, but I've never found where you've posted the specific length before and after. Judging by your posts we're roughly the same size - I'm 6' 270 lbs. Also, what size of drop are you using with your column?

I know how everyone says to mock it up with a broomstick and pie plate, but I've found a really nice deal and I may be acting quick before I can take it all out and mock it up. It's a 32" chrome tilt and floor shift, and it comes with the 9 bolt steering wheel adapter making it 34.25" total length. Is this going to be way too long? I'll have my bench seat mounted all the way back against the back wall of the cab to maximize "gut clearance"
