Y Block in Engine Masters
The 375" stroker ran yesterday and scored 2205 points. That puts it in 5th place overall (out of the 20 that have run so far). There are 20 engines left which will be run today and tomorrow. It has already put many modern motors to shame, including new hemis, and a Chevy LS, not to mention the numerous small blocks and big blocks of which, most are "newer" technology.
Let's hope it can hold on to that position! In any case, it's already done excellent.
Horsepower is about 524. Torque is about 477.

Not at all!
40 engines were in the competition. At least 28 of them were bigger engines. So according to the official score, it out performed at least 12 bigger and more "modern" engines which all have many more years of development behind them.
Looking at the peak horsepower, it out performed at least 15 of those bigger more modern, more developed engines. That is simply astounding. Imagine what will be happening wen the full potential of the Y is realized.
Also, because of this competition, you will be able to order a Y that produces in excess of 1.3 hp/ci that is completely streetable, and relatively affordable. The first one being built is a 318ci stroker which is expected to produce over 450hp and have good street manners!
